DUKAL Supports The Thomas Scully Foundation

September is national Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. DUKAL has partnered with an organization near and dear to our hearts, The Thomas Scully Foundation, to bring ‘A Little Bit of Happiness” to children with cancer today, while supporting a cure for tomorrow.

The Thomas Scully Foundation was founded in loving memory of Thomas Scully, who lost his life to an aggressive malignant brain tumor called Anaplastic Ependymoma at age 12.

Thomas’s parents, Debbie & Jimmy Scully, were heartbroken by the loss of their son and want to carry on his memory by making a positive impact on other children’s lives. As the foundation grows they will be providing support to families seeking innovative treatment for their child and/or fund research. They will also start locally with care packages called “A Little Bit of Happiness” designed to bring happiness to children with cancer, even if it’s just for a moment. The thought of putting a smile on another child’s face who is fighting for his or her life brings them so much happiness. If Thomas could stay optimistic and light up any room, so can they!
